Rmx_Dch
Rmx_Dch is an installation that allows viewers to remix what an architectural model looks like using a modified joypad and flash patch. Rmx_Dch is an investigation by the artists to develop new sonic and aesthetic possibilities of the architecture into virtual and somewhat utopian environments. The piece was designed to resemble the interaction of a videogame, using familiar 3d modelling, animation and 8-bit sound. By triggering buttons on the joypad, the player is able to remix the DCH building. The work was created for an exhibition about what it was like to live inside the infamous DCH building, at The Banff Centre in Canada
Digital screen, Video loops, flash program, modified joypad.
