Untitled White

Untitled White is an interactive installation which uses a camera and participants' movement to alter the visual layers of a looping animation. Created in response to the exhibition "Maquillando Monstruas" which means, "whitewashing monsters", the artwork becomes obscured as soon as the viewer approachs it. The piece uses stylized portraits of some recognizable and notorious human monsters and attempts to whitewash them of their past horrors. The Untitled White installation was exhibited at Proyecto Tinoco y Palacios in Oaxaca, Mexico in a collaborative group show. It was co- created by Anita Fontaine, Geoff Lillemon and Mike Pelletier.

Digital Monitor, video-camera, looping animation, Max MSP patch.
