Pigelle
Pigelle 1913 is an animation set in the red lit Pigelle district in Paris, year 1913. Using illustrations made while in Paris, the characters and landscape was created by mapping raw drawn elements into a 3d environment. The camera staggers through cartoon decadence its as if its a wisp of opium smoke. While drunk old ladies leer at you, rats with wheels for legs race pass you into the ether. You might begin to feel that the dark and sublime spirit of La belle Paris is still alive.
The very first collaboration between Geoff Lillemon and Anita Fontaine, who now name their collaboration Champagne Valentine. Sound by Collapsicon.
